News | Wretched Dario Officially on Hiatus!

Greetings!

I have decided to put the production of Wretched Dario’s first book on hold for a while. The project isn’t canceled. There have been some costly issues and some slow downs. The capitol used for this project came from whatever I could scrape from my day-job earnings, and so the challenges stated above were huge problems for me.

However, as a writer there are other stories that I have been working on. Two of the short stories that I am close to finishing will be published here, but I have also begun a novel which I will be seeking a publishing deal for.

If I am able to secure a deal for the novel, then I will use the money to fund the completion of Book One for the Wretched Dario line. That is the plan so far.

Some Changes

When I return to Wretched Dario, it will be with a new illustration team, and some very minute changes to the story.

This is a disappointment to me; I dedicated so much time and money to this project, but despite all that, I am very excited to get these other stories written and to come back to Wretched Dario with a new team and solid capitol.

I will still be updating the character entries and story elements here on the website for Wretched Dario.

News | New Plan is the Old Plan!

Greetings!

There have been some changes made concerning the debuted release of Wretched Dario. I have decided to use the graphic novel format instead of a single issue release. This means a longer wait time, but I promise it will be worth it!

I have three main sagas in the collective telling of this story, and I was convinced (for financial reasons) to instead produce 6-8 issues for each of them. I was never too keen on the idea of releasing each chapter of Dario as issue #1, #2, and them being separated by saga this, saga that, etcetera; but instead I wanted very much to make three large graphic novels, so that is the vision I am going back to.

To sum up:

-Book one titled, Beyond the Hammer Heart will be the debut of Wretched Dario.

-The saga of Dario and his mates will be told across three books along with extra content found on this site.

-Currently my team and I are working on chapter 3 for book one.

-I will publish chapter one on this site for everyone and anyone.

-A Kickstarter will be launched very soon to fortify this teams exhaustive work.

Greetings!

I found this gorgeous photograph of my lady, Pallas Athena, or Minerva if you prefer, in an on-line archive. I’ve never seen this particular statue of her, but I loved it so much that I paid the archive for the license which came with a high resolution download. Using my own photographs and art, I created this piece to serve as the backdrop for the House Whinery website.

I would prefer this statue of Athena to be from my own camera, but I do appreciate the original photographer’s work and besides, I plan on making the pilgrimage to acquire my own photographs of this powerful woman.

I will have downloadable versions available soon for desktop, tablets and phones.
